| Obverse description | Bare-necked, laureate bust of Vespasian facing left, rendered in a realistic, portraiture style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor is depicted with strong, aged features and closely cropped hair bound by a laurel wreath, the ties of which are visible at the nape of the neck. The circular legend surrounds the bust, distributed along the upper and lower periphery of the flan. The flan itself is broad and slightly irregular, with evidence of hammered manufacture. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Aequitas (Equity) stands in full figure facing left, draped in a long chiton and palla. In her extended right hand she holds a pair of scales, symbolising fairness and just measure, while her left hand grasps a long vertical rod or sceptre. The legend AEQVITAS AVGVST arcs around the upper field, while the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in the lower field to either side of the figure, affirming that this bronze issue was struck by decree of the Senate. |
