Reverse description The personification of Arabia stands facing, head turned to the left, draped in long robes. She extends her right hand forward, holding a branch above a camel standing to the left and partially concealed behind her figure. In her left hand she carries a bundle of cinnamon rods or cane over her left arm, symbolising the aromatic trade goods of the region. The legend commemorates the senatorial decree and Trajan's designation as Optimus Princeps, while the type celebrates the annexation of Arabia Petraea.
