Reverse description The personification of Abundantia stands facing, her head turned to the left, draped in flowing robes. In her extended right hand she holds two ears of grain directed downward toward a young boy standing at her left, who holds a roll in his left hand; in her left hand she carries a cornucopiae, symbolic of plenty. The large senatorial SC mark appears in the field flanking the figures, and the reverse legend referencing the Alimenta Italiae — Trajan's celebrated welfare program for Italian children — is inscribed around the periphery.
