| Obverse description | Laureate head of Trajan facing right, with finely rendered hair beneath the wreath and a slight drapery at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous Trajanic style characteristic of early Syrian provincial coinage. A beaded border runs along the coin's periphery. The Greek legend encircles the effigy, reading from the lower left and continuing around the field. |
