Reverse description The winged goddess Victoria stands facing right upon the prow of a warship (rostrum), rendered as a trophy of naval conquest. She extends her right arm upward, holding a wreath in a gesture of triumph, while her left hand grasps a long palm branch, a symbol of victory. Her wings are spread and her drapery flows dynamically behind her, conveying movement and martial energy. The senatorial mark of authority, S C (Senatus Consultum), is prominently placed in the field on either side of the central figure. The reverse type commemorates the naval victories of the Flavian dynasty, most likely alluding to operations during the Jewish War.
