Reverse description Victory personified stands to the right atop a ship's prow, her wings spread behind her in a sweeping display. In her right hand she extends a wreath, the symbol of martial triumph, while her left hand holds a long palm branch, emblematic of victory. The S C abbreviation for Senatus Consultum appears prominently in the field to either side of the central figure, authorizing the issue in bronze. The composition is rendered in the sturdy, confident style of Flavian official coinage.
