| 正面描述 | Bare laureate head of Titus facing right, rendered in typical Flavian portraiture style. The legend encircles the effigy along the coin's periphery, reading T CAES IMP PON TR P COS II CENS. The neck truncation is visible at the lower right, and the laurel wreath is rendered with characteristic detail of the period. |

This as belongs to the joint censorship coinage of 73 AD, when Vespasian and Titus held the censorship together — an office revived deliberately to signal a restoration of traditional Roman civic order after the upheavals of 69. The censorship types are a distinct subset within the Flavian bronze series, struck specifically to broadcast that ideological program rather than as routine fiduciary output.
RIC II.1 639 is among the types reassigned and renumbered in the 2007 second edition revision of RIC II, which substantially reorganized Flavian attribution. Earlier catalog references under the old RIC II will not align directly.
