| 表面の説明 | Laureate bust of Titus facing right, depicted with short beard, rendered in bold high relief typical of Flavian portraiture. The emperor's neck and upper drapery are faintly visible at the bust truncation. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, distributed across the upper and lower fields. The portrait conveys a strong, authoritative likeness consistent with official Flavian imperial coinage struck under Vespasian. |

This as was struck in 74 AD while Titus held the tribunician power under Vespasian, still a year before the formal designation as heir apparent gave him a more prominent coinage profile. The SC on the reverse marks senatorial authorization, a constitutional formality by this period but one the Flavians maintained scrupulously to distance themselves from the perceived tyranny of Nero. RIC II.1 1572 is not among the more frequently encountered Titus-as-Caesar bronzes, and survivors in any meaningful state of preservation are genuinely scarce relative to the volume of Flavian coinage broadly.
