Obverse description Laureate head of Titus facing right, rendered in the portraiture style characteristic of the Flavian dynasty, with curly hair beneath the laurel wreath and a short neck truncation. The effigy conveys imperial authority, with finely modelled facial features including a prominent brow and strong jaw. The encircling Latin legend runs around the periphery of the flan, divided on either side of the portrait. The coin's surface shows the characteristic olive-green patina of a circulated bronze as, with the portrait struck on an irregular, slightly uneven flan typical of hammered Roman bronze coinage.
