| 裏面の説明 | The personification of Aequitas stands in full figure facing left at centre, rendered in a draped, graceful pose characteristic of Flavian allegorical types. She holds a pair of scales (libra) in her extended right hand, symbolising fair measure and equitable governance, while her left hand rests on a long vertical sceptre or rod. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is placed prominently in the lower field to either side of the figure. The surrounding legend AEQVITAS AVGVSTI runs along the periphery, and the broad, slightly irregular bronze flan reflects standard hammered production of the Rome mint circa AD 73. |
