In her raised right hand she holds a pair of scales (libra), and in her left hand she holds a long vertical rod or sceptre. The figure is rendered in a classical contrapposto stance, with fine drapery folds visible across the garment. The abbreviated legend AEQVITAS AVGVST flanks the figure to left and right, while the large senatorial mark SC (Senatus Consultum) appears prominently in the lower field on either side of the figure, authorising the bronze coinage. |
