Segóbriga, situated in what is now Cuenca province, was one of the principal towns of Hispania Citerior and held the rank of municipium under Augustus. Its civic coinage ceased entirely after Tiberius — this issue falls within the final phase of local bronze production before the town abandoned the mint altogether, likely as imperial centralization of coinage tightened under the Julio-Claudians. The RPC I 474 attribution places it firmly within a small group of Spanish municipia still exercising the right to strike under Tiberius's name.
