Obverse description Bare-headed laureate bust of Tiberius facing left, depicted with a draped shoulder, rendered in a restrained classical style characteristic of Julio-Claudian portraiture. The emperor's facial features are sharply defined, with a prominent nose and strong jaw. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, running from lower left to upper right around the coin's field. The flan shows typical irregular casting of the period, with a green patina over the bronze surface.
