| Obverse description | Bare head of Tiberius facing left, rendered in fine portraiture typical of early Imperial coinage. The emperor's features are idealized yet distinctive, with close-cropped hair swept forward over the brow in the Julio-Claudian manner. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading from lower left and running clockwise around the field. The portrait occupies most of the flan, consistent with the bold, centralized design of Tiberian aes coinage. |
