| Obverse description | Bare-shouldered, laureate bust of Tiberius facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair beneath the laurel wreath. The portrait presents the emperor in a dignified, classicizing style characteristic of Julio-Claudian imperial coinage. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery of the flan, beginning at the upper left and continuing around the bust. The coin's irregular flan, typical of hammered Roman aes coinage, gives the portrait a slightly off-center yet imposing presence within the field. |
