Obverse description Bare laureate head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in a naturalistic Julio-Claudian style. The portrait displays finely engraved hair with carefully detailed laurel wreath, with the emperor's characteristic sharp facial features and strong jaw. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait reading ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΥ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ, identifying him as Augustus son of Augustus Caesar. The field shows the typical surface patination associated with Antiochene bronze coinage of the early imperial period.
