Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in the Roman provincial style typical of Hispanian municipal coinage. The effigy displays a prominent laureate wreath encircling the head, with characteristic facial features of Tiberian portraiture. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the bust, reading from the left field and running clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The portrait is boldly struck on a broad, irregularly shaped bronze flan, consistent with the hammered coinage of Calagurris under the Julio-Claudian dynasty.
