| Description du revers | Prow of a war galley oriented to the right, rendered with horizontal rows of oars and decorative beading along the hull, a motif closely echoing the Roman Republican as tradition. A winged Victory figure appears above the prow, and a winged caduceus is depicted in front of it, serving as a symbol of commerce and civic authority. The colonial ethnic SAGV appears in the field, identifying the issuing city of Saguntum. The overall composition reflects the strong Romanizing tendency of this Iberian colonial mint during the late Republican period. |
