Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Nerva facing right, depicted with his characteristic aged and lean features in the restrained, realistic portrait style of the Flavian-Nervan period. The effigy is rendered in moderately high relief, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated. The encircling legend IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR P COS III P P runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible despite the coin's heavily worn and encrusted surfaces. The field shows significant patination and surface corrosion consistent with extended burial or circulation.
