The emperor is depicted with a draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The encircling legend reads IMP NERO CAESAR AVG GERMANIC in Latin capitals along the periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the official imperial portrait style of the Neronian period, with strong modeling of the facial features consistent with coins struck at the Rome mint. |

The reverse design commemorates Neronian military victories and the traditional senatorial authority over bronze coinage. |
