A small globe appears at the base of the neck truncation, symbolising imperial dominion over the world. The portrait is executed in high relief typical of Neronian coinage, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The encircling Latin legend runs along the border, naming the emperor with his full titulature. |

The figure is depicted in a dynamic stride, with robes flowing, evoking the emperor's well-documented identification with the god of music and the arts. The large senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed to either side of the central figure in the field. The surrounding Latin legend records the emperor's principal honorific titles, running along the coin's border. |
