Obverse description Bare-shouldered, laureate bust of Nero facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristically full, youthful features and elaborately curled hair bound by a laurel wreath. The effigy displays a draped shoulder partially visible at the bust truncation. The encircling Latin legend runs along the beaded border from lower left to upper right, identifying the emperor by his full dynastic titulature.
