Obverse description Bare head of Emperor Nero facing left, rendered with characteristic fleshy features and curly hair arranged in the Julio-Claudian style. A small globe is depicted at the truncation of the neck, symbolising universal dominion. The portrait is executed in high relief typical of early Neronian aes coinage. The encircling legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the field.
