Obverse description Radiate head of Nero facing right, depicted with the characteristic fleshy features and elaborately curled hair of his later portraiture, surmounted by a solar radiate crown. The effigy is rendered in high relief with a draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, separated from the portrait by a dotted border.
