Obverse description Radiate, draped bust of Nero facing left, depicted as a mature bearded figure wearing a radiate crown. The effigy is rendered in a bold, high-relief style characteristic of Neronian bronze coinage. The legend surrounds the bust along the periphery, enclosed within a beaded border. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic thick neck and rounded facial features as seen on later issues of his reign.
