| Obverse description | Laureate head of Nero facing right, rendered in high relief with naturalistic portraiture characteristic of early Neronian coinage. The emperor's thick curling hair is bound by a laurel wreath, and the strong facial features — prominent chin and heavy neck — reflect the official imperial image of the period. The circular legend runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible on this example. The coin exhibits a green patina with areas of earthen encrustation consistent with extended burial or circulation. |

| Reverse description | Facing view of the rectangular Temple of Janus Geminus, depicted with a latticed or grilled window on the right side and a pair of double doors to the left, a garland hung across the door frame indicating the closing of the temple in celebration of universal peace. The architectural rendering is schematic yet detailed, conveying the symbolic significance of the closed Janus gates as a declaration of peace throughout the Roman world. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears prominently in the field, flanking the temple structure. The reverse legend arcs around the upper and lower periphery of the coin. |
