| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Nero facing right, portrayed with characteristic full features and youthful idealization in the Roman imperial tradition. The effigy is rendered in moderately high relief with visible drapery at the shoulder. A continuous Latin legend encircles the portrait along the periphery of the flan, reading from lower left around the obverse field. The overall style is consistent with the Rome mint's production under Nero's reign. |
