Reverse description The Genius Populi Romani depicted standing left in full figure, clad in a toga, extending a patera in his right hand over a small flaming altar at his feet, and holding a cornucopiae in his left hand. The composition is flanked by the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) in the field to left and right, with the additional mark I appearing to the right. The reverse legend GENIO AVGVSTI is disposed around the upper portion of the field. The figure is rendered in the restrained, classicizing style characteristic of Neronian official bronze coinage struck under senatorial supervision.
