Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Nero facing right, rendered with youthful, idealised features and characteristic curly hair falling over the forehead and nape; a small globe is depicted at the base of the neck truncation, symbolising world dominion. The portrait is executed in the vigorous, naturalistic style of Neronian coinage. The encircling legend runs clockwise from the lower left within a beaded border.
