Obverse description Laureate head of Janus depicted facing, with two confronted bearded faces rendered in the archaic Roman style typical of late Republican aes grave coinage. The dual visages display heavy, stylized features with prominent brows and beards. A denomination mark appears in the upper field above the heads. The flan is irregular and shows the characteristic fabric of a cast-then-struck bronze piece of this series.
