| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Salus (Health/Safety) stands in three-quarter view, draped in flowing robes, leaning with her left arm upon a tall column set in the center of the field. She extends her right hand downward to feed a serpent coiling upward from the ground, a standard iconographic attribute of Salus in Roman imperial coinage. The large senatorial control marks S and C (Senatus Consulto) flank the central figure to the left and right respectively. The legends SALVS to the left and AVGVSTI to the right complete the reverse inscription around the periphery. |
