| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Libertas depicted as a draped female figure standing left in full length, her garments falling in classical folds to her feet. In her raised right hand she holds a pileus (the felt cap of freedom, traditionally granted to emancipated slaves), and in her lowered left hand a vindicta (rod or staff). The legend LIBERTAS PVBLICA arcs around the periphery, while the senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is placed prominently in the field to either side of the figure, affirming the Senate's role in issuing this bronze denomination. |
