Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, rendered in bold relief characteristic of early Flavian portraiture. The emperor's strong profile features a prominent brow and a laurel wreath secured about the head. The encircling legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The surfaces exhibit the typical green patina associated with bronze As coinage of this period, with the irregular flan edges common to hammered production.
