| Opis rewersu | The goddess Minerva depicted standing left, helmeted and draped in aegis, raising a thunderbolt in her right hand and holding an upright spear in her left; a large round shield rests at her side. The figure is rendered in high relief with characteristic Flavian style, Minerva serving as the personal divine patron of Domitian. The senatorial authorisation monogram S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently displayed in the field to either side of the figure, flanking the goddess. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design. The composition is typical of Domitianic bronze coinage and reflects the emperor's strong devotional association with this deity. |
