This as falls within Domitian's tenure as Caesar under his father Vespasian, struck before his own accession in 81 AD. The PROVIDENT reverse type was a deliberate dynastic message — Flavian propaganda emphasizing the foresight and planning of the new ruling house, which had seized power in the chaotic Year of the Four Emperors just a few years prior.
