Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, draped with aegis visible at the truncation, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian portraiture. The emperor's features are firmly modelled with a strong jaw and prominent brow, the laurel wreath clearly articulated across the brow. The aegis, with its distinctive scaled texture and pendant straps, falls across the left shoulder and chest. A beaded border frames the entire obverse field. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from the lower left.
