Reverse description The goddess Fortuna depicted standing to the left, draped in a long garment, holding a rudder downward in her right hand and a cornucopiae in her left, symbolising divine providence and imperial prosperity. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consulto) appears in the field to either side of the figure. The encircling legend FORTVNAE AVGVSTI is set within a beaded border, invoking Fortune's favour upon the Augustus.
