| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, draped and wearing an aegis on the left shoulder, rendered in the bold Flavian portrait style characteristic of the Roman Imperial workshops. The emperor's effigy occupies the central field, with the circumferential Latin legend running around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits strong, authoritative facial features consistent with official Domitianic coinage of AD 85. The surface shows an olive-brown patina with areas of earthen deposit typical of circulated bronze aes coinage. |
