| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Domitian facing right, rendered in the Flavian portrait style with finely articulated curls across the crown. The effigy displays the characteristic strong Flavian jaw and prominent nose. The circular legend is disposed around the bust, reading CAESAR AVG F DOMITIAN COS III. The portrait treatment reflects the youthful representation of Domitian during his father Vespasian's reign, prior to his own accession. |
