| Obverse description | Janiform conjoined busts of two male figures facing in opposite directions, rendered in the traditional archaic style associated with the god Janus. The left-facing bust is bearded, while the right-facing bust appears youthful and clean-shaven, consistent with the iconographic convention for this denomination. The value mark 'I' (denoting the As) appears above in the field. The flan is irregular and broad, characteristic of late Republican military mint production. |

| Reverse description | Prow of a Roman war galley (prora) facing right, depicted in profile with multiple oar-banks, a corvus boarding device, and a decorative prow ornament (aplustre) visible at the upper right. The rendering is bold and schematic, typical of late Republican bronze coinage struck under field conditions. The legend CN·MAG IMP appears in the upper field above the prow, identifying the issuing commander Cnaeus Magnus (Pompey the Younger) in his capacity as Imperator. The overall composition reflects the Pompeian naval power during the Hispanian campaign of 46–45 BC. |
