| Opis rewersu | The reverse field is dominated by a dense, multi-line Latin inscription arranged concentrically and across the field, naming the two duovirs of the Colonia Iulia Concordia Carthago responsible for the issue. The abbreviated text P P / D D appears prominently in the centre of the field, denoting that the coins were struck with public funds by decree of the decurions. A dotted border is visible around the circumference of the flan. The die-work is bold though somewhat carelessly applied, a feature typical of this colonial series. |
