| Obverse description | Bare head of Augustus facing left, rendered in the idealized portrait style characteristic of early Imperial provincial coinage. The effigy displays clearly modelled facial features with a smooth cranium devoid of any wreath or diadem. A Latin legend surrounds the portrait in the field, identifying Tiberius as son of Caesar and imperator for the fifth time. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show considerable wear consistent with prolonged circulation. |
