Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing left, rendered in a naturalistic Hellenistic portrait style typical of early Augustan coinage struck under provincial authority. The emperor's effigy displays close-cropped hair with strands swept forward over the brow, consistent with the canonical Augustan portrait type. The surrounding field is heavily worn and patinated with green encrustation, partially obscuring the peripheral legend. The portrait occupies the central field, with the circular inscription CAESAR AVG TRIBVN POTES distributed around the rim.
