Obverse description Bare, laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the provincial Hispano-Roman style with carefully delineated hair strands beneath the laurel wreath. The portrait is well-modelled, presenting a youthful, idealized effigy consistent with Augustan imperial iconography. The surrounding legend reads AVGVSTVS DIVI F, distributed around the periphery of the field, identifying the emperor as son of the deified Julius Caesar. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of hammered provincial bronze coinage from Hispania Tarraconensis.
