| 表面の説明 | Male head facing right, depicted in a broad, somewhat archaic Ibero-Roman style, wearing a diadem or fillet with curled locks visible at the nape; the bust is draped and rendered in low relief with bold, simplified features characteristic of Hispano-Roman provincial coinage. The Latin legend OBVLCO appears in the field to the right of the effigy, identifying the issuing city of Obulco (modern Porcuna, in the province of Jaén). The flan is irregular and slightly broader than the die, with areas of bronze patina obscuring fine detail at the periphery. |

Obulco — modern Porcuna in Jaén province — was one of the few cities in Hispania Ulterior permitted to strike its own bronze coinage under Roman oversight following the Punic Wars. The city's mint was unusually prolific for a provincial Iberian town, and its issues circulated widely across the upper Guadalquivir valley. The legends on Obulco's coinage are bilingual, appearing in both Latin and Iberian script, reflecting the contested administrative identity of a community that was neither fully Roman nor fully native during the period of active Romanization.
