Reverse description Zeus, clad in flowing drapery, standing erect in a fast-moving quadriga driven to the right, brandishing a thunderbolt in his raised right hand and holding a long sceptre in his left. The four horses are rendered in vigorous forward motion, conveying divine power and speed. In the exergue, the Oscan inscription KAPU in Old Italic characters identifies the issuing city of Capua. The composition follows established Campanian iconographic conventions linking the city's coinage to the supreme Olympian deity.
