| Opis rewersu | An eagle displayed, wings spread and body facing, with head turned to the right holding a wreath in its beak, a motif emblematic of Roman imperial power in the eastern provincial tradition. Between the eagle's legs a crescent is depicted, a symbol associated with the lunar cult prominent at Carrhae. A star occupies the upper left field, and two pellets are placed in the exergue. The composition is typical of the large billon tetradrachm-style issues of Mesopotamian provincial mints under the Severan dynasty, reflecting both Roman and local iconographic conventions. |
