Obverse description Bare laureate head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition of Alexandrian coinage. The emperor's features are depicted with characteristic realism, the laurel wreath clearly articulated around the crown of the head. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor along the periphery of the flan, with the regnal year expressed as L ΙΗ (year 18) in the field.

Reverse description Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing left, the radiate crown symbolising his divine status as ΘΕΟΣ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (the Divine Augustus). The portrait is rendered in the standard Alexandrian style, with the Greek legend disposed around the periphery of the flan. The radiate crown clearly distinguishes this posthumous divine portrait from the living emperor depicted on the obverse.
