Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with his characteristic short curly hair and beard rendered in fine detail. The imperial effigy is depicted with paludamentum over the left shoulder. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait in the field, reading HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P. The coin displays the distinctive Phrygo-Roman provincial style, with somewhat broader fabric than metropolitan Roman issues.
