| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, viewed from the rear, with the radiate crown rendered in bold relief. The emperor's beard is clearly articulated, consistent with his known portraiture. The paludamentum (military cloak) and segmented cuirass are visible at the shoulder and lower bust. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, running along the outer border of the flan. |
